About Us

Guardian Support Services of New Hampshire is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with a simple mission…to help guardians.  At any given time, there are over 7000 active adult guardianships in New Hampshire. Of these, approximately 1,800 individuals are served by trained and nationally-certified private or professional guardians leaving family and lay guardians serving the remaining 75 percent of the state’s incapacitated adults.

Unlike private or professional guardians, family and lay guardians receive no formal training, education, guidance or support.  They are left to meet challenges on their own or pay an attorney for assistance and advice…until now. GSSNH provides practical guidance to family guardians or individuals considering becoming a guardian through on-line courses, webinars, the Guardian Support Guide, videos, information and referrals.  This organization exists for you and your loved ones under guardianship.
